Deirdré Dix Hunt
Deirdré Dix Hunt is an award-winning, Emmy®-nominated producer, director, and president of Edge of a Dream Company. Her company’s impressive client roster includes corporations, tech companies, CEOs, celebrities, and non-profit organizations. Her expertise in developing and growing strategic alliances/partnerships with brands focused on engagement and connecting with their consumers through content is the catalyst behind her success. Whether she’s leading her team to develop new brands, refreshing existing brands, creating multicultural marketing strategies, or producing digital content in today’s competitive global market, she brings an inspired style of work and creativity. She has produced and supplied programming to ABC, Discovery, Fox, NBC, BET, CBS, and the CDC. She is currently consulting with HBCUs and global companies, which include her alma mater, Howard University, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Canada’s Bridal Fantasy, and Silicon Valley start-ups. She works exclusively with CEOs and C-suite leadership teams to create and develop culturally inclusive infrastructures.
For two consecutive terms, Dix Hunt served as Vice President of Strategic Planning on the executive board of Women In Film. An active Director member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Producers Guild of America (PGA), she has served as the co-chair of both the African-American Steering Committee and the Women’s Steering Committee of the DGA. A member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the National Association of Minorities in Cable (NAMIC), she is also a producer/director mentor for aspiring TV directors and producers. She is a former board member of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and continues to be highly active in supporting the recruitment and hiring of HBCU graduates into sustainable careers in entertainment.
Dix Hunt is an honors graduate of Howard University’s School of Communications and holds an MFA from UCLA, as well as a Certification in Leadership from the Harvard Women’s Leadership Program in Cairo, Egypt.
Xavier C. Salinas
Xavier C. Salinas is an international production supervisor with experience overseeing Emmy® award-winning content for network and cable television. He has collaborated with HBO, Showtime, ABC Studios, Netflix, Sony, and Fox Studios, among other companies.
Drawing on his extensive experience in both multi-camera and single-camera productions, he manages the company’s production teams, oversees all digital projects, and serves as the primary liaison for Edge of a Dream’s corporate initiatives.
A dynamic storyteller with roots deeply planted in resilience and community, Salinas embodies the spirit of generational ambition. Renowned for his deft leadership and collaborative spirit, Xavier brings together creative visionaries and technical teams to deliver exceptional programming across genres and platforms. His ability to navigate the complexities of international production environments has established him as a trusted figure in the industry, with a reputation for elevating projects from concept to screen with precision and flair.
Hailing from Coachella, California, and shaped by the legacy of Latino immigrant parents who toiled in the farm fields alongside Cesar Chavez during the civil rights movements of the 1960s, Salinas’s journey is woven with purpose and vision.
Salinas is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, with a BA in Communications.
